Teacher Outings and Special Treats
The Silent Auction features the much sought after “outings” and “special treats,” especially for kids donated by our very generous High Meadows teachers and staff. Outings are described below in alphabetical order by the teacher’s last name. If you are the lucky high bidder, please contact the teacher or staff member directly to arrange a date and time.
Middle Years
Mr. E will take your child and a friend or family member on a day of
fishing or an easy, not too risky, mountain biking day trip.
Ms. E-Z and Mr. Korb will take a Middle Years student and five friends
to a performance at the Shakespeare Tavern.
Ms. Spinola and Mr. DeAracama will take a Middle Years student
and two friends to lunch at Circle Sushi.
Ms. Lovatt and Ms. Milhollin will take a Middle Years student
and a friend to lunch at Curbside Cafe.
Your child can be Principal of Middle Years for a morning ending with
a fun lunch with Ms. Wolf.
Kindergarten Teachers (four winners) Each of the four Kindergarten teachers will take one child and a friend or sibling to “Cosmic Bumper Bowling” at Brunswick Lanes in
Karen Allen
Karen Allen will host your child and one friend or sibling for an exciting afternoon of jet skiing.
Sue Amacker
Your child can be School Counselor for a morning, ending with a special lunch together. We will visit the classrooms and lead character education discussions. We will take pictures of the child throughout the day in the different rooms.
Lisa Backalenick and
These two terrific teachers will take your child and a friend or sibling for a group afternoon outing - lunch at Johnny Rockets and then lots of fun at an afternoon movie matinee!
Debbie Beacham and Adam Branson
One student and a friend or sibling will be treated to a fun trip to the Georgia Aquarium.
Nancy Bingham and Jennifer Hannah
Your child and a friend will enjoy an afternoon of dinner and lots of terrific games at Dave and Busters.
Susan Brown
Your child and two friends can enjoy a 45 minute pony ride on High Meadows trails where they have never ridden before. Come and help brush and tack the ponies for the ride, then mount up and we are off on a High Meadows adventure. All children must be High Meadows students and weigh less than 90 pounds.
Faith Burke and Rachel Vincent
Your child and a guest can choose an excursion of their choice plus either lunch or dinner to enjoy with their teachers.
Deanna Bussard and Jennifer Lott (two winners)
Each of these teachers will host one child and a friend on a group outing (two winners – four children total) to a matinee movie and lunch at Johnny Rockets.

Your child and one friend or sibling can join this bundle of Spanish energy for an outing for food and fun at Chuck E Cheese!
Melissa Christel and Andrea Ianzito
A student and friend or sibling will be treated to lunch and a visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Stephanie Dempsey
Planning a party? Need a cake, but don't bake? Ms. Dempsey will bake the cake of your choice for the event of your choice. Delicious homemade cakes with luscious fillings and icings are decorated to your liking. She has baked wedding cakes, birthday cakes, baby shower cakes, groom's cakes, and more! Shape cakes are her specialty, and kids love them!
Gary Denning and Kate McElvaney
Does your child enjoy riding horses or want to learn? Here's a chance for a unique experience: a riding lesson on Mr. Denning's Percheron along with a picnic lunch provided by Mrs. McElvaney. The horse, Tinkerbell, is nearly 18 hands tall and over 1700 pounds of draft horse strength, but don't be afraid. She is gentle (Mr. Denning's 5-year old and 2-year old daughters ride her and groom her) and light on her feet (Mrs. Denning recently won a blue ribbon in dressage on her).

Your child and a friend can have Mrs. Ernst and Mrs. Westlake provide them the five lunches of their choice. Special attention from two special teachers and a break for you!
Robbie Fritsch and Stephanie McFerrin (three winners and their friends) Your child and a friend can enjoy an “ART MORNING” on March 15th at High Meadows. This activity is for up to 6 children and will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last for 2 hours. Children will have fun creating a special art project to take home. A special snack and drink will also be provided.

Your child can enjoy lunch and special activities as the “Head of the School for the Day.” Student may be any age.

Each of these teachers will host one child and a friend on a group activity (two winners – four children total) for an afternoon of cooking and enjoying the yummy results.

Your child and a friend will enjoy an afternoon of dinner and lots of terrific games at Dave and Busters.
Annie Kimball
Ever had tickets to the Fox Theatre? How about Broadway? This is even better! Your family, parents and children, can win a 1 year pass to all the High Meadows after-school drama productions from March 2008 thru February 2009. Come to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and many, many other events. Typically, there are 5-7 productions throughout the school year and each ticket is $5.00. The estimated value for a family of 4 for 5 shows is $100.
Lily Liu
Your child and one or two guests (3rd grade and up) can join Ms. Liu for three 30-minute fun classes to learn how to organize family digital photos (vacation, holiday, summer fun, family reunion, just name it) into artistic photo movie productions.
Brenda Major
Be sure to see the large, beautiful ceramic tray made by Ms. Major and inscribed with original symbols that the 4/5 students created in art class.

Each of these teachers will host one child and a friend on a group outing (two winners – four children total) to a movie and lunch at Johnny Rockets.
Karen Odell and Sarah Passoff
Your child and a friend can go on a "Beartastic Adventure" to Build A Bear at the Northpoint Mall. After adopting a pair of bears, the children and their new friends will enjoy a spin on the carousel. The adventure will be topped off with the delights of Haagen Daz.

Your child and a friend can enjoy a fun outing for dinner and an outing to a movie of their choice.

We will visit all the classrooms and take notes on what they are doing, read a story to a class, observe teachers at work and write about the day. We will take pictures of the child throughout the day in the different rooms. Your child can bring a friend to lunch, if desired.

Your child can be Principal of Primary and Elementary classes for a morning ending with a special lunch together. We will visit all the classrooms, read a story to a class, observe teachers at work and write about the day. We will take pictures of the child throughout the day in the different rooms. Your child can bring a friend to lunch, if desired.
Queen or King of Carpool for a Year!
Move to the front of the carpool line as King or Queen of Carpool. You'll bypass all the afternoon carpool traffic for an entire calendar year, starting Monday!
All Aboard the High Meadows Bus!
For the kids who've always dreamed of riding the High Meadows bus: Your child and up to 11 High Meadows student guests and their parent chaperone will be driven by High Meadows beloved bus driver, Carolyn Higgins, on a fun-filled trip to Fuzziwigs candy store and other agreed upon convenient destinations. After the fun, the group will be returned to
